see relatedDoes anyone know of a list online that has a list of all baby essentials? I have a list in my head of things we need to buy but I've never been a parent before so I know there are probably things that I'm not even thinking of.
I am 15 weeks pregnant. I've gained 7-8 pounds. My next appointment is on the 18th.

^ Is that what you were looking for?
things that might slip your mind, is - bottle warmer, lansino (since you plan on breastfeeding).med kits (thermometer,clippers,etc) mitten and cap sets
are you going to have a baby shower? we basically held my baby shower when i was around 6 months pregnant and whatever was left on the list (a lot of the big stuff that people don't have money to buy) was what my parents and I bought ourselves. i will say this,....you can never have enough burp rags. i went through those things like crazy! i was doing laundry every 2-3 days the first few months he was born because he was just going through so many outfits/burp cloths.
hope that gives you an idea,
tracey
@RaxterRiley - Yeah, something like that. Thanks for the help
@MsBettyBanker - thanks! I'm not sure what lansino is though. I've heard of it, but I'll have to look it up online lol.
@someone_to_love_you - Hmm, burp rags. Thanks for the tip. My husbands mom and sister want to throw us a baby shower, so we'll see.
i'm crossing my fingers that the grocery store will call me this weekend. the only thing we're waiting on is the background check. it will be good for me to work there since i just came from one at my last job. of course i will have to get trained, but everything they train me in will be in the back of my head since they follow the same agenda.
well, have a good weekend. if you have any more questions, feel free to throw 'em at me and i'll do my best to answer them
and even though your lil' one isn't here yet, happy mother's day because you're a mom-to-be

Congratulations!Â
happy mother's day :)
@MsBettyBanker - thanks, you too
Ok, I am so dumb! I am way behind on reading your xanga, and I didn't even realize until today that you are pregnant! Congratulations! On the Babies R Us website, they have a list of what they consider essentials (although we don't think everything on there is quite necessary). I would HIGHLY suggest reading Baby Bargains, too: http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Bargains-8th-Furniture-Maternity/dp/1889392332/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1242054019&sr=1-1. It is ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT! It has great advice, product recommendations, safety talk, and is a great guide to getting your baby things together. Also, if you're considering a product, you should read the customer reviews on it on a website where a lot of people have purchased that same item. Of course, not every person is going to have a good review on a good item, but it helps to read what kind of experiences the majority of people have and what they LIKE or DON'T like about an item (do a lot of people say that it breaks quickly? is it difficult to clean?). Also, it will give you ideas on what to look for. For example, there were a lot of complaints on the crib I wanted that people had a hard time buying a mattress that fit. I made sure to measure the crib and my mattress (the top recommended one by Baby Bargains), and I had absolutely no problems!
Congrats! And yeah, I guess it is interesting...unfortunately. :(
